Spain next year perhaps? Said the cat.
Spain next year perhaps? Said the cat.

It was -16C (3.2F) the other day.
M brought the cat out into the garden while I was vaccum-cleaning our apartment. Our vacuum-cleaner is powered by twin Rolls-Royce jet-engines and the cat hates it perhaps even more than I do (despite me carrying traumatic childhood vacuum-cleaner noise memories), the only reason that we stand this apparatus from hell is that it also scrubs the floor.
It's a small apartement so I was finished within fifteen minutes. Even so the cat managed to get frost-bitten in the ear, so it now hangs down slightly, as you can see in the picture.

This is not a place for the living.

Now it's warmer, -14C (6.8F), and I just can't stand being still any longer, my knees are stiff and creaky and small invisible animals crawl under my skin after several days of frozen-inness. I'm going out for a run, around Grahn's Pond in Nacksta, before dinner. 9 kilometres and Cordon-blue chicken schnitzel if you're curious.

And by the way, today's Epiphany, and according to ancient mystic tradition, the rest of the year will be a good one for those partying hard tonight.

Love your format.

My high school German was decades ago, but it is nice to be able to pick out a word or two.

Just the freedom to roam takes the edge off cabin fever. I have been working on a project and mainly stuck inside, except for a few short strolls.

Knowing I can enjoy those strolls makes being inside bearable.

I'll enjoy the sun for you; or you can come visit.

I'm glad that there's at least one person in the world who's actually had at least as many beers as I this evening. That's actually Swedish I'm trying to write, maybe a few words are shared with the germans, but I actually think English is closer.

I've just watched "Tetsuo the Iron Man" for the first time, a Japanese movie which is a crossing between "The Andalusian Dog" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Pretty entertaining when not too sober.
