How to make a styrofoam woodpecker - Hur du gör en hackspett i frigolit

You need a piece of styrofoam or similar, a sharp knife and preferably a book with useful illustrations.
Carve out a woodpecker from the styrofoam.

Du behöver en bit frigolit eller skumplast, en vass kniv och gärna en bok med användbara illustrationer.
Skär till en hackspett av plasten.

The bird's "foot" is made of a piece of plate which is somewhat rounded with the help of a hammer. Make a cut, add some glue and push it in.

Fågelns "fot" görs av en plåtbit som rundas en aning med hjälp av en hammare. Gör ett snitt, ha på lite lim och skjut in.

The beak is reinforced with a small piece of plate which is glued stuck.

Näbben förstärks med en liten plåtbit som limmas fast.

A small strap is glued to the foot.

Ett litet spännband limmas fast på fästet.

Test the bird before painting and final use. Bend the foot so that the beak rests against the pole, thus causing a clinking sound when it gets windy.

Testa fågeln innan målning och slutgiltig användning. Böj till foten så att näbben nuddar stolpen på det att ett klinkande ljud uppstår vid blåst.

The woodpecker is painted with some cheap acrylic paint.
