A few days ago, the night between 7th and 8th of June, I woke up in the middle of the night - twice actually - feeling as if I was seriously drunk. The whole room rolled and I couldn't focus my eyes on less then two things at the same time. I was still dizzy in the morning and strange thing: Maria also said she was feeling slightly drunkish, not as much as I had felt though.
A few days later I was talking to a friend of ours, and happened to mention the drunken experience a few nights ago, and believe it or not, she had experienced the same thing. That made me curious so I asked a few more of our acquaintances about this, and yes, some other did indeed remember feeling a certain dizzines the mentioned night (but since quite a few of them go around feeling dizzy most mornings I actually didn't put much weight to their testimonies).

So, what could have caused this?

  • Just plain coincidence?
  • A virus, the starting symptoms of a new flu?
  • A drastic change in the weather pressure?
  • A fluctuation in the Earth's magnetic field (Something to do with the earthquake a few weeks ago?)
  • Someone testing a mind-altering weapon, a satellite?
I have no answer. But things like this probably happen all the time and just pass unnoticed.

Addendum: It's very possible that large amounts of pollen in the air caused this, it is that season.
