      "chasing its shadow" Many people alive today spend thier entire lives "chasing thier shadows" Is this the meaning of this painting? or just one i've taken out?

      It could of course be interpreted that way, and it wouldn't be wrong since it's a working metaphor. But the the idea behind do not always need to point in that direction - sometimes it's a remedy enough to see a cat chasing its own tail or, as in this case; a dinousaur its shadow.
